A very special piece indeed! The LAST ONE OF THE TOUR 🥳

My grand finale was held on the bandstand of the Killacourt, a place I can see right now from the window of the studio that was soon to come into my life here at C Space in Newquay.

That day was filled with so much joy. After eight months on the road, I finally had the chance to show my friends and family just how far I’d come. The crowd was an incredible cross-section of people — some who had never met me before, friends and family who knew the journey well, and, remarkably, people from around the country who happened to be holidaying in Newquay that day and had attended my events elsewhere along the tour.

That evening, when I finally made it down to the beach with my new love in tow, I felt a sense of relief unlike anything I’d experienced before.

I’d done it.

What an incredible journey this had been, and undoubtedly one of the most important journeys of my life.

Four months later, my pursuit of happiness continues.

I painted her while in the throes of heartbreak. Although it wasn’t meant to be, she taught me so much. I painted her as a symbol of my next chapter, of what has passed, what I’ve learned, and what is still to come in my life and my journey as an artist.

Hello, world.

This collection is my statement. This collection is here to show you what I’m truly capable of. This collection is here because I believe art can help heal the world.

Thank you, Divine, for this gift.

As this chapter closes, the future is uncertain. Uncertainty can create anxiety, but I’ve learned that the very same feeling can be reframed as excitement. It’s the feeling on the starting blocks of a race. The butterflies while lining up at airport security before an adventure. The rush in your chest just before you get down on one knee and commit yourself to something precious.

We don’t know exactly what’s waiting on the other side.

And perhaps that’s the most exciting part. ✨
