The Weston Super Swan was inspired by a story I was told by the Winter Warriors, a sea-swimming community in Weston-super-Mare.

Apparently, there’s a famous local swan who loves to join them for their dips and play alongside them in the waves.

I loved the story so much that I knew the swan had to become part of the artwork and so, the Weston Super Swan came to life.
